Hi, everyone ! I hope you are enjoying your day so far ! If not, let me make it even worse by telling you a story filled with perversion and incompetence. Ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between, I present to you the case of Emile Louis !
Emile Louis
Emile Louis was born on January 21st, 1934 in Pontigny in the Yonne region of France. Immediately given up by his parents, he was placed in foster care, and ended up being raised by the Cannier family. This wasn't a happy ending for him, as the father was a cold WWI veteran and the mother pretty much only spoke to him to give him orders or shout at him.
Everything got worse after WWII. Emile, at ten years old, witnessed public executions and saw his two foster sisters getting their head shaved for collaborating with nazis. He was so traumatized about it that four years later, he burned down the barn of a guy who he believed to be responsible. He wasn't convicted of that crime because he was declared mentally irresponsible. There was no follow-up regarding his mental health, though...
The same year, he is raped by an activity organizer during a summer camp, but doesn't tell anyone. And then, everything starts falling apart. He quits school and joins his dad as a masonry apprentice, but he hates it, so he decides to enroll in the Marines and is deployed in Indochina.
Three years later, he comes back to France and marries a woman named Simone, with whom he will have four kids. For Simone, the rose-colored glasses come off pretty face, as Emile begins a routine of rape and torture in the house. One of his daughters, Maryline, isn't spared, and even tells in her book that she saw Emile commit his first murder in 1968. However, the victim was neither found nor identified, so it's her word against his.
Regarding his professional life, Emile bounces from job to job, until he gets hired as a school bus driver for young and handicapped foster kids.
In 1977, he leaves Simone and moves in with Gilberte Leménorel in Seignelay, near the city of Auxerre. He comes off as nice and generous, so much so that he ends up becoming a municipal councilor. In reality, he abuses the kids placed in Gilberte's care, and manipulates the mentally handicapped girls who take his bus to become their "lover". I obviously know that he does that because he is a pervert, but I can't help but think that it might also be because any normal woman in a five-mile radius knows that he's a creep who looks like a melting candle.
On January 23rd, 1977, 15-year-old Christine Marlot hops in Emile's bus to go to class. She is never seen again. The cops believe she ran away, so they don't start an investigation.
On April 4th, 18-year-old Jacqueline Weiss disappears. Emile is her foster father and is the last one who has seen her alive, but he is barely questioned and Jacqueline is technically an adult so no investigation is opened there either.
On April 21st, 18-year-old Chantal Gras disappears.
In July, Madeleine Dejust, Françoise Lemoine and her sister Bernadette disappear. All three were known as Emile's "lovers".
Two years later, on December 26th, 1979, 16-year-old Martine Renault goes missing, and an investigation is finally opened and assigned to investigator Christian Jambert. Thankfully, he quickly connects the cases.
In February 1981, Sylviane Lesage-Durand asks one of her neighbors to babysit her son because her lover wants to take her on a romantic trip to Paris. She never comes back.
On July 5th of the same year, a body is found in a shack near Auxerre. This body is so decomposed that the coroner has trouble determining whether that's a man or a woman. Jambert manages to get the dental records of the missing girls compared to the body's teeth, but with no result. That's when one of his friends reminds him about the disappearance of Sylviane Lesage-Durand. Bingo. On December 18th, 1981, the body is identified.
Jambert is convinced that Emile is responsible for all the disappearances and the murder of Sylviane, but his bosses don't want to hear any of it, so continues his investigations completely on his own. He takes this case very personally because he grew up in foster care, so he wants justice to be done for the young girls who went through the same stuff as he did.
Jambert looks far and wide for a reason to put Emile in an interrogation room, and is given one when the kids placed in Gilberte and Emile's care start complaining about Emile's sexual abuse towards them. On December 28, 1981, Emile is placed in detention. He denies everything at first, but admits the sexual abuse to get the DA to focus on that instead of the disappearances and the murder. And the DA eats that shit up. Emile is convicted of sexual abuse committed on a minor and he is sentenced to 5 years in prison.
In 1984, Jambert shows his findings to a judge, who basically tells him to go fuck himself and dismisses the case of Sylviane Lesage-Durand's murder. In France, that means that no one can be convicted of her murder anymore. She will never get justice.
Ironically, Emile is released the same year. He moves to the Var region, and manages to get hired as school bus driver again (ffs). Thankfully, he is rapidly fired after making disgusting remarks regarding the children. Sadly, he goes from school bus driver to babysitter for his neighbors, so he still gets to abuse kids. He is convicted again in 1989, and gets out of prison in 1992.
Soon after his release, he marries Chantal Paradis, a depressed widow with two adolescent daughters. He does to them exactly what he did to his first family.
In the Yonne region, a TV show shines a spotlight on the case of the missing girls. Now, the whole country knows about it, but the investigation doesn't make any progress.
The families of the missing girls press charges on July 3rd, 1996, to force the DA's office to open a real investigation for all the disappearances, but the DA still drags their feet, so they have to get a Paris judge to mandate an investigation.
A judge is finally assigned to all the cases on May 7th, 1997, but things don't start well: Jambert is dead from (according to the legal documents) two self-inflicted gunshot wounds to the head, his report is legally unusable, and things took so long that a lot of witnesses died from old age.
The investigators decide that a Hail Mary is their only option, so they arrest Emile on December 12th, 2000. Once he is in the interrogation room, they make him believe that prescription applies to all the cases, and his dumb ass falls for it. He tells the investigators all about how he strangled the girls in the forest, and shows them where they can find the bodies. Sadly, the area where the bodies was flooded a couple of years before, so only two out of seven bodies were recovered.
It's the end for Emile. Not only did he confess to murdering these seven girls, but his ex-wives and daughters also decided to press charges for what he put them through. For the latter case, Emile is sentenced in 2004 to 30 years in prison. The same year, he is convicted for the murders of the 7 girls, and is sentenced to life in prison. He died there on October 20th, 2013, and all I can say is bye bitch !
